MANDALA KALAM

29-11-2025 to 27-12-2025

Devotees are well aware of the spiritual significance of observing the Holy MANDALA KALAM (41 days) beginning from 1st day of VRISCHIKAM  and ends on the 41st day with MANDALA VILAKKU. During this auspicious period, all Ayyappa Bhaktas and especially those who intend undertaking a pilgrimage to Sabarimala to have the Darshan of Lord Ayyappa, observes the "MANDALA VRITHAM" and spend the period with utmost Bhakti and Shraddha to Lord SREE AYYAPPA (SASTHA)

The Managing Council of Sree Guruvayurappan Temple is pleased to inform all the devotees that it has been decided to observe the "Mandala Kaiam" with the usual offerings of Abhishekams and Pujas to Lord Sree Ayyappa In addition to the above, daily Panchagavyam and Navakam Abhishekams to Lord SREE GURUVAYURAPPAN will be conducted, as it is being done at Sree Guruvayurappan Temple, Guruvayur, Kerala and concluding the ceremony with KALABHABHISHEKAM.

Like major Abhishekams such as Sahasra Kalasam and Dravya Kalasam, performing Panchagavyam and Navakam Abhishekam are equally beneficial for satisfying and purifying the deity. In fact, as the number of more Abhishekams performed, the deity gets more and more purified and sanctified, and His grace also increases and becomes more and more benevolent. Thus, the devotees offering the Abhishekams are also bound to receive His blessings in abundance.

Now, a few words about the importance of 'Panchagavyam'. Panchagavyam contains the five elements of the Holy cow, namely, milk, curd, ghee, cowdung, and gomutram. It is considered from ancient times that 'Panchagavyam' Prasadam, if taken daily, can be a healer of many of our ailments. Witnessing the Abhishekam will do immense good and give satisfaction to our mind. Panchagavyam purifies the body and mind and that is the reason for using at least one of the five rasams of cow in all our Pujas and Homams.
