GURUVAYUR EKADASI CELEBRATIONS

Ekadasi Celebrations will start from Navami, Dasami, Ekadasi days, each day there will be routine Puja & Rituals at Temple.  The Ekadasi day is also observed as Holy Gita Day as it was on this auspicious day that the Lord Krishna imparted the teachings of Gita to Arjuna during Mahabharata war times. It is also called Geetha Dinam.  As is the case with most Hindu festivals, the Ekadasi festival too is draped in an array of religious rituals, customs and legends. A number of legends are associated with the festival. .
